CHAPTER 1 - BUILDING THE COMPANY (1989 - 1999)

Established in 1989 in Villeneuve d'Ascq, Soft Solutions has been dedicated to servicing retailers from the beginning. Initially providing advanced development services to top French retailers (Auchan and Carrefour), the company quickly understood the lack of dedicated decisional solutions available for retailers to build an efficient merchandising strategy.

Soft Solutions launched its two best sellers of the '90s: SRP (Simulation, ROI, Price Positioning) and SNA (Simulations, Negotiations, Acquisitions), each solutions contributing to maximize margins by mastering price positioning to increase turnover and providing clearer insight of negotiations with suppliers to decrease costs, increase margins and follow-up invoices.
For nearly 10 years, these products were the reference in France and helped retailers maximize their benefits, while strengthening their position in the market.

During this period, the company has cultivated a profound knowledge of the retail business and an expert know-how in developing solutions on the edge of technology.


CHAPTER 2 - BUILDING THE VISION (1999 - 2009)

During the early 2000's, Soft Solutions had a vision for two major evolutions:

  • For the business: The retail life cycle encompasses more than just pricing and negotiations, By covering the entire scope of retail business we offer our clients the complete solution for all their retail business needs.

  • For the technology: The client-server architecture was in full swing, being used by most retailers at that time. But Soft Solutions, being an innovative solution provider, took the initiative and started development in HTML architecture, thus producing ibs Suite, the first full HTML-based solution for retailers in the world.

With these two strategic axes of evolution, Soft Solutions dazzled world-class retailers, through the implementation of ibs Referential / MDM solutions at Carrefour Group in Europe, followed by a complete ibs Suite implementation at CTR in Canada and CVS Caremark in the United States.

In parallel, the comprehensive software solution has been built to what is known today as, the Retail Business Framework® 2012, enforcing the strength of decisional services by synchronizing them inside a single Master Data Management pool, and buckling in the retail life cycle by providing additional supply chain and execution solutions.

This decade made Soft Solutions an international company, with worldwide implantation and a famed in-depth know-how of the retail business.

The R&D laboratory was also created during this period, growing from 10 to 400+ employees. This was a great challenge that Soft Solutions achieved, passing the passion of the retail to the skillful teams in Lebanon, mixing culture and experience to provide an increasing quality of service to our clients.


CHAPTER 3 - BUILDING THE HUMAN (2009+)

Since 2009, Soft Solutions has continued to strengthen its foundation and most valued asset: our employees. Indeed, the value of Soft Solutions is evident in the teams that make our projects a reality, from the lab to the integration teams at the side of the retailers.

Soft Solutions created the Soft Solutions Training Institute (STI) training department to enrich our consultants and stimulate their passion for retail and the values of Soft Solutions. These values can be summarized as the T2R's©, shown in the picture across the page.
