CVS Caremark chooses Soft Solutions to support and improve its business processes across their US enterprise. Over the years CVS Caremark expanded largely across the United States through a number of acquisitions, which resulted in multiple platforms, mainframes and data management systems. Needless to say, multiple systems were expensive to maintain and hindered the company's efficiency and optimization across the organization.
CVS Caremark was looking to replace their current legacy standalone applications supporting the current business processes, which encompassed many areas of the Supply Chain and Merchandising departments. In addition to enhancing the above business capabilities, CVS wanted to unify and gradually replace their current legacy mainframe system that they use to manage their Master Data. In 2007, CVS Caremark launched the project with Soft Solutions to improve the way they do business and ensure a profitable and tangible return for years to come.
To achieve its business goals, CVS Caremark selected Soft Solutions' Master Data Management Suite, Retail Supply Chain Operations Suite, Retail Analytics Suite, Merchandising Business Suite and Retail Collaboration Suite. The initiative to implement these changes was part of a larger plan, a strategy which will help grow revenue, reduce operational costs and optimize its business operations across the enterprise.
