In 2006, CTR chose Soft Solutions from among brand name competitors including Oracle and IBM as their sole IT provider to manage and implement their Marketing Change Program. A progressive decision made to focus on centralizing their legacy systems, reduce their operational costs and ultimately increase their market share.

To achieve its business goals, CTR's Marketing Change Program objective included implementing new business processes and IT improvements to better face new business challenges, while replacing old legacy and standalone applications. The project implementation included delployting Master Data Management and Merchandising Business Suite modules.

The implementation project zoned in on many areas within CTR's Merchandising department, for example, to centralize and preserve the single version of retail data, minimize data management costs, optimize sourcing, improve assortment, manage pricing and promotions, and reverse flow of merchandise.
